Burgess Rawson Buys CBD Office Building

Directors from middleweight agency Burgess Rawson have been revealed as the mystery buyers of Benjamin House, a 130-year old, five level office building at 360 Little Collins Street, which failed to sell at auction last November.

Speaking for the consortium of buyers, Burgess Rawson director Graeme Watson said the 1,747 square metre building will become the company’s new headquarters next month, after a major, and trendy renovation is complete.

Burgess Rawson employs about 25 staff, and is currently based at 303 Collins Street.

“The current market is a wonderful opportunity to acquire assets at an excellent price,” Mr Rawson told The Age.

The directors also own the prominent Richmond Plaza shopping centre on the corner of Bridge Road and Church Street in Richmond.
