Roxy Jacenko sells swank Sydney office
Roxy Jacenko has sold the Sydney office renovated as the headquarters of her public relations business, Sweaty Betty.
The Paddington property, 7-13 Elizabeth Street, traded for $7.25 million – a 4.32 per cent net passing yield.
A campaign was relaunched in September with a $7.5m -$8m guide.
The two-level, 357 square metre office failed to sell in May following another campaign where price expectations were $10m-plus.
The 290 sqm site, zoned residential, was previously permitted for a two-storey redevelopment with six apartments.
Development upside
The Paddington property comprises four Victorian terraces consolidated and rebuilt in 2014 by Ms Jacenko.
SJB and Blainey North were the designers.
Sweaty Betty occupied until 2022 when Melbourne developer Tim Gurner moved in (continues below).
It is now leased to Sotheby’s International Realty until May.
The real estate agency pays $313,200 ex-GST a year rent.
The incoming owner is a family office.
IB Property’s Daniel Cipolla and Dimitrios Franze and Raine & Horne Double Bay’s Alex Lyons were the agents.
The sale marks another step in Ms Jacenko’s withdrawal from Australian property after relocating to Singapore with husband, Oliver Curtis, part-owner of artificial intelligence infrastructure company Firmus Technologies.
Paddington is about three kilometres east of Sydney’s CBD.
