Valad Lodges Plans For Amcor Packaging Alphington Site
A spokeswoman from the City of Yarra confirmed council received a development application this week for the site, but would not comment yet on what its position would be.
Regardless, given local controversy about the development, which would run alongside the Chandler Highway bridge connecting Alphington to Kew, Valad’s development is likely to wind up in the hands of the Victorian Civil and Administratives Tribunal, sources speculate.
Valad’s plans for the one hectare Rex Avenue site include around 60 apartments and 26 townhouses, capitalising on the sites 100 metre frontage to the Yarra River, and access to Coate Park.
