Toy giant to shift HQ within Melbourne’s suburbs

Headstart will replace RJ Living at 66 Logis Boulevard (outlined).

Headstart International, established in 2007 and now one of the country’s largest toy makers, will switch its headquarters within Melbourne’s south east.

Headstart’s outgoing Oakleigh base, now for sale.

The group will upsize too, leasing a 4104 square metre office/warehouse at 66 Logis Boulevard, Dandenong South, part of the 154 hectare Logis Estate.

Its outgoing base, about 20 kilometres closer to town, at Oakleigh, contained 1106 sqm (with the office component forming the majority, spreading 921 sqm).

Coincidentally, that building is now for sale with vacant possession, and c$5.25m-plus price hopes.

Aston Commercial’s Jeremy Gruzewski and Rodney King have that listing (story continues below).

CBRE’s Patrick Noone and Alex Grima brokered the Dandenong South deal; the property will be vacated by RJ Living.

Founded by David Hendy, who also created Funtastic Limited, and his son, Andrew, Headstart has bases in Hong Kong, China and Los Angeles too. With brands including Cubeez and Ooshies, it employs about 70 people.
