St Kilda’s Legs Building Unveiled

The three-level building with the cheeky exterior includes 11 apartments, a penthouse, rooftop terrace and two restaurants, hidden behind a mural depicting a pair of women’s legs clad in fishnet stockings.

Legs may provide interesting viewing for those queued to get into Luna Park across the road, but will also give construction workers at the controversial St Kilda Triangle site, also across the road, something to look at.

SJB’s Michael Bialek says the image is based on a photograph and is intended as a tongue-in-cheek reference to St Kilda’s nightlife, while also serving as a contemporary piece of urban art.

The image is re-created by DigiGlass on glass supplied by Viridian, and spans the entire width of the building and all three levels.
