Centuria buys Bunnings-backed homemaker centre

The property was formerly known as the Chadstone Homemaker Centre.

Centuria has confirmed the purchase of a Bunnings backed homemaker centre in Melbourne’s south east.

As we reported December, the Chadstone Homeplus Centre at 675-685 Warrigal Road was one of six assets offered by the BWP Trust, seized in mid-2024 when it took control of the Newmark Property REIT

It fetched $86.025 million.

On 1.51 hectares, with 19,574 square metres, the result was 1.1 per cent over fair market value, the buyer said (continues below).

The Warrigal Road asset contains 19,574 square metres.

For BWP, the internal rate of return during its period of ownership is 15.2pc.
