Showroom asset filled after off-market deal

The local arm of Austria based power products provider and services supplier, Omicrom Electronics GmbH, has leased a Mill Park space opposite Bunnings.

With the deal for 1384 square metres, 14 Wealthiland Drive (Google Street View image, top) – a 15 year old showroom complex between Plenty Road and Oleander Drive, a local activity centre, is full.

Services Australia recently moved into another tenancy – since branded the Mill Park Service Centre – replacing offices at 560 High Street, Epping.

Serco also occupies while it is speculated Lincraft is taking a space.

Omicrom is presently based in the area at 240 Plenty Rd, Bundoora.

Another Mill Park deal

Omicrom has signed up for an initial 10 years at Mill Park, which previously sold last March for $8.01m.

“The…business was attracted by the asset’s prime location and expansive efficient floorplate – making it an ideal match for their operational needs,” Cushman & Wakefield’s Vincent Tran, who brokered the off-market deal for the landlord, said.

JACX Property’s Grant Pickford represented the tenant.

Mill Park is about 18 kilometres north of town

The Omicrom complex, also known as 8-14 Wealthiland Dve, covers 6158 sqm opposite a parcel Bunnings sold to a commercial developer in 2021 after deeming surplus to needs.

Charlie Buxton’s Cadence has dealt in the pocket too – six years ago offloading the Thirsty Bros juice manufacturing plant, for a profit after a short-term hold and subdivision.

Plenty Valley Westfield is also nearby.
