Dexus commits two more law firms to Quay Quarter

Two more law firms have committed to a piece of Quay Quarter Sydney, being delivered by Dexus and Mirvac.

Maddocks has signed up for the bigger space at 33 Alfred Street – 5000 square metres over four floors.

Landers & Rogers meanwhile has leased 2600 sqm over two levels.

Following an earlier deal to law firm Allen & Overy (or A&O Shearman), 33 per cent of the 31,000 sqm asset is committed.

The building is expected to open next year (story continues below).

The Alfred Street office is for lease for the first time in six decades.

33 Alfred Street

Considered Australia’s first skyscraper – the first to break the city’s then 160 metre height limit, in 1962 – 33 Alfred St is being fully renovated. Never offered for lease until recently, it is expected to be carbon neutral, targeting a 5-star NABERs rating and 6-star Green Star – Office Design & As Built v3 score.

Co-owned by Dexus Wholesale Property Fund and the Mirvac Wholesale Office Fund, to be managed by Dexus, it forms part the final piece of Quay Quarter Sydney – with other components, Quay Quarter Tower, and Quay Quarter Lanes.
