Occupiers drop $11.9m for Malaga warehouses

The Montgomery Way property sold for $7.92 million.

Two sizeable vacant warehouses a couple of hundred metres from each other at Malaga, 10 kilometres north of Perth, have sold to occupiers.

Hobbs Displays has moved to 325 Victoria Road (also pictured top).

In the biggest deal, 17 Montgomery Way, on a 1.09 hectare rectangle parcel also facing Victoria Road, fetched $7.92 millon.

With a 5200 square metre office/workshop and 50 car parks, it was offered for the first time in over 50 years by the operators of Furnace Industries, which also occupied.

The buyer is registered as Lai Family Property.

Colliers’ Sam Hammond and Hayden Dick were the agents.

Meanwhile a 1450 sqm office/warehouse on 3113 sqm at 325 Victoria Rd – listed with 17 Montgomery Wy – sold for $3.95m.

An interest associated with Hobbs Displays were the buyer; the business moved in two weeks ago.

It previously traded in the suburb at 31 Resource Wy – a 1023 sqm space.

Its newest property includes a 10 tonne overhead gantry crane, two 2 x tonne JIB cranes and a wash bay.

Like 17 Montgomery Wy, it is also serviced by 3-phase power.

The parcel is configured with a large hardstand component too.

The same agents brokered the deal.

Malaga is within a half hour drive of 51.3 per cent of the state’s population, they said, and 52.8pc of the state’s privately owned households.
