Jon Adgemis receiver sells historic guesthouse for modest profit
Millbrook Group, as mortgagee in possession, has sold Darlinghurst’s historic Manor House.
The unrenovated two level inn with 19 suites at 84-86 Flinders Street is trading for $8.5 million.
Jon Adgemis’ besieged Public Hospitality Group outlaid $8.25m in September, 2022.
Also once trading as the Flinders Manor House, the c1850s Georgian has been extended to contain 929 square metres.
Each room has an ensuite, kitchen and dining space.
The building also retains lead light windows, detailed cornices, traditional fireplaces and original tessellated tiles on the front verandah.
An additional two or three floors, bringing the height to c15 metres, could be considered given local planning precedents (story continues below).
The Mixed Use B4 zoned block spreads 771 sqm with 18.5 metres street frontage and four car parks.
Savills agents Nick Lower and Selin Ince marketed it last year as a repositioning opportunity for occupiers and investors.
A residential repurpose could also have been considered.
Darlinghurst is less than two kilometres south east of Sydney’s CBD.
