John Holland Group quits CBD for suburbs
John Holland Group will relocate its Brisbane headquarters from the CBD to a Growthpoint Properties Australia office at Newstead.
The contractor has committed to 3500 square metres at 100 Skyring Terrace for an initial seven years.
The A-grade space covers the entire 11th storey and part of the 10th.
It will relocate from 480 Queen Street – an asset owned by Dexus.
John Holland’s national headquarters is in Melbourne on Flinders St – a building coincidentally recently developed by Dexus, which sold it last year for $255m.

Completed in 2014, 100 Skyring Tce forms part of the Newstead Gasworks mixed-use precinct (continues below).
“John Holland and Growthpoint share a strong alignment in purpose with a focus on delivering long-term value through sustainable high quality assets,” Growthpoint chief executive officer, Ross Lees, said.
John Holland chief executive officer Nick Miller added the relocation reflected the company’s long-term commitment to Queensland.
“John Holland has been delivering city and region shaping infrastructure in Queensland for almost 70 years and we are really excited for the future in Brisbane and the Sunshine State,” he said.
“We have a dynamic, future-focused team in Brisbane operating across building, infrastructure and rail and the move to a newer facility will allow for more collaboration and future growth,” according to the executive.
“The leasing transaction adds to ongoing demand for prime-grade office space in Brisbane’s near-city precincts, where landlords have increasingly focused on amenity upgrades and tenant engagement to attract and retain major corporate occupiers”.
