Historic South Yarra hairdresser trades for $6.2m

The Toorak Road building sold on a 2.84 per cent yield.

The historic building South Yarra building occupied 20 years by the Joey Scandizzo Salon sold at auction yesterday.

The $6.151 million result for 168-170 Toorak Road reflects a 2.84 per cent net passing yield.

Developed in 1890 as one of Melbourne’s first banks, it contains 482 square metres over three floors.

A major refurbishment was completed by Studio Kennon in 2020.

The occupier has renewed for five years from March, 2026.

It also has a five year option.

The site spreads 356 sqm with 11 car parks accessed from a rear laneway.

JLL’s Jesse Radisich, Josh Rutman, Ramanor Falconer and MingXuan Li acted for the vendor which held 53 years.
