Hampton Rehabilitation Hospital to be Redeveloped
A joint venture between Mr Gillon, who rowed for Australia at the Rome and Tokyo Olympics, and the Abacus Property Group says it expects to start building its Edgecliff on the Beach residential development next year.
The project will include a 4-level, 70-unit apartment building, and six 4-level townhouses with frontage to Orlando Street. The development will offer postcard views over Port Phillip Bay and the CBD.
The developers paid the State Government $13 million for the Hampton hospital in 2005, three years after the Government closed the site.
