Mr Davison, the son of four-time Grand Prix winner Lex Davison, competed in nine Formula 5000 races in the late 1970s and early 1980s – retiring in 1982.
More recently he has been president of the Sandown International Motor Raceway. Mr Davison is credited with improved attendances and ratings of the Sandown 500, the Shell Australian Touring Car Championship and the Foster’s Historic car race meetings.
His English-style home in Kew’s tree-lined Wellington Street includes four bedrooms, formal and informal living areas, outdoor entertaining area and a large, landscaped backyward. Surprisingly however, the house only comes with a one car garage.
Marshall White selling agent Mark Dayman says he expects the house to sell for more than $1.9 million when it goes to auction at 12:30pm on Saturday September 8.
