ESR locks in logistics group at Truganina

Goodman recently pre-committed Signet to a West Industry Park building.

ESR Australia has committed 101 Warehousing to Truganina’s West Industry Park.

The deal includes a five year extension on a 9923 square metre property the logistics group already occupies.

The tenant has also committed to a 21,830 sqm extension for an initial six years.

“We are exceptionally pleased to continue the relationship with ESR Australia to accommodate…continued growth,” 101 Warehousing chief executive officer, Adrian Kagan said.

“The additional space needed was due to the continued demand from existing customers driven by the acceleration of e-commerce,” he added.

In June Goodman pre-committed two tenants – Signet and Goodride Tyres – to facilities at the business park.

CEVA rents over 200,000 sqm within several properties at the estate including a landmark warehouse on 16.6 hectares in Doriemus Drive.

Elsewhere in the suburb, sustainable infrastructure group ACCIONA recently sold vacated industrial property on 1.19ha at 13-17 Jessica Way for $7.3m-ex GST.

Truganina is about 22 kilometres west of the city (story continues below).

ESR keeps growing

In April, ESR paid Blackstone $3.8 billion for a management business and portfolio with 45 warehouses.

Known as the Milestone collection, the properties contains a total of 1.4 million sqm over 360ha.

The deal made the landlord Australia’s third biggest industrial real estate holder, behind Goodman and Charter Hall.

Last week we reported ESR’s Hong Kong based parent was paying $7.07b for ARA Asset Management – which is Singapore based.

Following settlement on that acquisition, the group becomes Asia Pacific’s largest, and the world’s third most sizeable commercial property manager.
