Major health hub coming to Melbourne’s west

A gym, childcare centre and cafe are also committed to the new Werribee Centre.

A major new healthcare hub is set to open in Melbourne’s west following a lease to a national operator.

The Werribee Centre is near the Watton Street retail precinct.

The primary care group has committed to 1310 square metres (outlined, image, top) at 74-76 Cottrell Street, Werribee – a mixed-use building which has just been completed, known as The Werribee Centre.

The initial lease term is 10 years.

The tenant can then exercise the first of its three five year options.

Aston Commercial’s Zak Lewski and Jeremy Gruzewski are the strata office based project’s agents.

The ground floor medical centre will bring together GP services, pharmacy, radiology and pathology.

It will also offer general dental services (continues below).

Strata offices and car parks at The Werribee Centre are for sale or lease.

Mr Lewski said securing the healthcare provider would help shape the long-term success of the project.

“Transactions of this scale are about more than simply leasing space; they’re about securing the right anchor tenant to enhance the long-term performance of the asset,” he added.

“We’re pleased to have delivered a nationally recognised healthcare provider that will serve the local community while strengthening The Werribee Centre’s position for years to come,” according to the executive.

The property is close to the Werribee Mercy Hospital precinct while nearby Tarneit has been selected for the new Wyndham Hospital, a major public facility planned to service the region’s booming population.

Werribee is about 32 kilometres south-west of Melbourne’s CBD.
