Developer Pays $90 Million For 256 Hectare Melton South Site

A bluestone homestead will be retained as part of the redevelopment, much in the same way the former Baillieu family’s Eynesbury homestead – not far from Melton South – is the centrepiece of a major redevelopment of the same name, homes of which are currently under construction.

Waterford has an end value of $1.2 billion, and will include high density housing, as well as homes on traditional-for-the-area sized blocks, fo about 680 square metres.

Last week the government closed a major review affecting 2400 hectares of land, east of Melton South, to Leakes Road.
