Coogee apartment fetches $1.325 million from Wallaby Bernard Foley

Rugby player and Commonwealth Games silver medallist Bernard Foley has paid $1.325 million for an apartment in Sydney’s beach-side suburb of Coogee.

The 29-year old Australian Wallaby and New South Wales Waratah will retain 1/3 Stark Street as an investment, according to this realestate.com.au item.

Mr Foley bought the property through a buyer’s agent, who outbid four other suitors.

McGraths Nicholas Wise and Kate Smith were the marketing agents.

The modern three bedroom dwelling with a wraparound courtyard garden includes a private entrance and single lock-up garage. The complex sits between a commercial precinct in Avoca Street, Randwick, and Coogee Beach.

Bernard Foley is reportedly going to rent out the Coogee apartment.

Mr Foley played every game in the 2014 and 2015 season with the Waratahs according to this biography on website rugby.com.au. He sits in third place for the most NSW points scored (502), with the third most conversions (82) and third most penalty goals (81).

In 2010, the sportsman picked up a silver medal with the Australian Sevens at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
