Aston Commercial has expanded its shareholder base.

Increasing his equity holding is executive director Marc Hayden who started as a property manager with the company in 2007, becoming a director in 2015.

Meanwhile, Joshua Colosimo and Thomas Rizzo will become shareholders for the first time.

The move forms part of the privately owned agency’s succession strategy.

It also broadens employee ownership within the business.

New partners

Founded more than three decades ago, Aston Commercial provides agency, property management and advisory services across Melbourne’s industrial, office and retail markets (continues below).

“I’ve been fortunate to help shape Aston’s journey over many years and increasing my shareholding demonstrates my confidence in where we are heading,” Mr Hayden, who now heads the company’s Property Management department, said.

“We’ve built a business based on relationships, accountability and exceptional service…I am excited to continue investing in our future,” he added.

Mr Rizzo has spent more than 15 years in the agency’s Property Management division.

Mr Colosimo works in the agency’s sales and leasing business.

“The changes were intended to reinforce its position as an independently owned business while recognising long-serving employees through equity participation,” an Aston spokesperson said.
