Infection specialist doubles down at Macquarie Park

The office at 3 Thomas Holt Drive.

Nanosonics – which turns 25 this year – has signed the biggest Macquarie Park lease deal since 2023.

The group, which develops technology to decontaminate medical equipment, primarily ultrasound probes, has committed to 9362 square metres at 3 and 5 Thomas Holt Drive.

The office, warehouse and production space will support its laboratory, manufacturing and corporate operations.

The initial lease term is 10 years.

CapitaLand is the landlord after paying $289m for it and two neighbouring assets in late 2020.

“This is the largest lease deal in the Macquarie Park precinct in the past two years, reinforcing the strength and momentum and the life sciences sector in Sydney,” CBRE’s Richard Casey, who brokered the deal said.

The rental agreement comes four years since Nanosonics moved its headquarters to 7-11 Talavera Road in the suburb, owned by Goodman.

Other healthcare related groups occupying space in the area include Abbott, Astra Zeneca and Cochlear.
