Flybuys – a national loyalty program owned and operated by Wesfarmers – has 1789 square metres of refurbished space at the Mail Exchange building in Bourke Street.

On the ground floor, the area includes five metre ceilings and exposed beams.

The fit out also utilises restored wooden window-frames, cabinetry and architraves.

Savills’ Philip Cullity was the 696 Bourke St agent.

The deal comes three years after Hub Australia rented 3900 sqm at the office for a decade.

It has occupied a smaller tenancy at the Mail Exchange since 2011.

Wesfarmers rents offices all over Melbourne for its subsidiaries – though two of its biggest brands, Bunnings and Coles, are both in Hawthorn East.

Target staff recently moved its headquarters to Williams Landing, in the west.

In January the parent sold the North Geelong property which was for 40 years that retailer’s base.
