Vella family leases showroom on ex-Aldi site

The Vella family has leased a new Mildura showroom for its 27th 4WD Supacentre.

Established in Sydney 11 years ago along with the Adventure Kings outdoor camping products business it sells through its stores, the group has committed for five years to 481-483 Deakin Avenue.

The 933 square metre space in the Fifteenth Street retail precinct, diagonally adjacent to Mildura Central.

The landlord bought the 1.4 hectare block which made way for the project for $1.65m in August, 2021, from Aldi, which operates a store next door.

With a population of just over 32,000, Mildura is c550 kilometres north west of Melbourne and 400km east of Adelaide.

Mildura Central sold two years ago to Chris Locks’ IP Generation for $81.1m – or $78.1m plus cash contributions by the seller, Vicinity, which paid $109.75m in 2014 (story continues below).

4WD Supacentre covers kilometres

4WD Supacentre trades from every state and territory except the Northern Territory.

Adventure Kings’ product range exceeds 300.

“The Mildura store presents exceptional signage opportunities and aligns seamlessly with the brand’s expansion strategy,” Burgess Rawson’s Wendy Thomson, who brokered the deal with Sam Fogarty, said.
