Swiss watchmaker leases Melbourne building

Swiss watchmaker Patek Philippe has leased the historic Professional Chambers at 120 Collins Street, expanding its presence on Melbourne’s premier luxury retail strip.

The heritage-listed building fronts the skyscraper with the same name, in the city’s east end.

Investa and Mirvac, for a managed fund, are the owners.

The four storey property was previously configured with lower level retail – Paul Smith was once an occupier – and upper floor offices.

The deal comes two years since Investa created a tenancy from what was the skyscraper’s entrance – between Professional Chambers and 100 Collins St – now leased to Breitling (continues below).

Zelman Ainsworth of Ainsworth Property was the agent.

Patek Philippe is presently based at The Hour Glass building at 252 Collins St.
