SsangYong consolidates at Mulgrave

KGM (SsangYong) Australia has consolidated offices and a training facility for the first time in Melbourne – at Mulgrave.

The Nexus business park (outlined) abuts the Monash Freeway.

The Korean car marker has leased 1255 square metres for the bespoke space at 35 Dunlop Road.

Salta is the landlord; the tenancy forms part of the Nexus Corporate Park at the prominent south west corner of Springvale Road and the Monash Freeway.

“[KGM (SsangYong’s) Australia’s] new headquarters…now sees their growing team situated in a well located, turn-key premises, complete with office and warehouse facilities and basement car parking that reflects the quality image of SsangYong as a choice car manufacturer,” she said.

Another Nexus deal

The Mulgrave business park includes a gym, wellness centre, tennis and basketball courts, onsite childcare and dining options.

The office buildings also have end-of-trip facilities.

With the KGM (SsangYong) Australia deal, Salta has leased 3230 sqm at Nexus this quarter; other tenants include engineering products manufacturer Danfoss which took up 856 sqm at 6 Nexus Court and US-based adhesive retailer, Gorilla Glue, for 300 sqm at 5 Nexus Ct.

For the financial year, 3420 sqm of lease renewals were also sealed including to Brenntag, Randstand and the Victorian WorkCover Authority’s WorkSafe Victoria (story continues below).

Bristol Myers Squibb, Daimler Trucks and Westpac are amongst other high-profile tenants.

Adidas was another before recently relocating to Fortis’ 65 Dover St, Cremorne.

KGM (SsangYong) Australia recommits to south east

KGM (Ssangyong) Australia is presently headquartered at Moorabbin.

“We were already acquainted with the location and were impressed by the high standard of the offerings, including the on-site management team,” KGM (SsangYong) Australia managing director and chief executive officer, Woo Seob, or Joseph, Lee, said.

“Additionally, the collaboration with Salta to crate a tailored space that meets our specific requirements was a significant drawcard,” he added.

“This bespoke solution…will enable KGM (SsangYong) Australia to integrate our offices and training centre for the first time, enhancing the experience for our team and extending benefits to our broader stakeholders,” according to the executive.

“The Nexus Mulgrave business precinct provided a range of solutions to support our rapidly growing Australian operations”.
