Fortis extends Cremorne pile

With its purchase of 85 Dover Street, Fortis’ proposed office will have a symmetrical design, unlike before (pictured).

Fortis has quietly added another holding to a Cremorne site earmarked for a nine storey office.

The Sydney based developer is paying $10.25 million for 85 Dover Street – a three storey, 10-unit strata titled commercial and residential block.

The deal gives the builder an additional 656 sqm, near the corner of Kelso St.

Fortis intends to use the site to extend its proposed office next door – from about 9250 sqm to c12,750 sqm.

The developer paid $26.9m for that 1856 sqm amalgamation, 65-81 Dover St, in 2021 (story continues below).

That seller, Tope Lane, offered it permit-ready for the office (artist’s impression, top).

Since buying the property, Fortis has filled about 90 per cent of the original scheme, including with a 2726 sqm lease to Adidas which will relocate from Salta’s Nexus business park at Mulgrave – and take signage rights.
