Pikos buys three Newstead sites

Two of the Doggett Street sites.

Pedro Pikos bought three apartment development sites in Brisbane’s inner north east Newstead, outlaying a total c$60 million.

The largest parcel, spanning 2346 square metres, is bound by Byres, Gordon and Waterloo streets.

It was marketed for its potential to yield 150 dwellings in multiple buildings.

Pikos Group is also buying 78-82 Doggett St, spreading 1422 sqm and a 1000 sqm holding on Masters St.

Applications to build luxury apartments are expected to be lodged in coming months.

The group recently topped out construction of its 13-storey Skye Residences complex at 8 River Terrace, Kangaroo Point, with a c$300m end value (continues below).

Pikos is also developing Gaia, with two luxury apartment towers, on a 5,285-sqm riverfront holding at Kangaroo Point.

That project is speculated to carry a c$620m end value.

In 2018, the developer was denied plans to build a housing estate at Toowong’s Goldicott House – a site sold in 2022 to Brisbane Boys’ College for approximately $17m to facilitate the school’s expansion.
