Petbarn founder lists Sydney harbourside mansion

The renovated six-bedroom Hamptons style house captures water views.

After relocating to New York, Petbarn founder, former vet, Jeffrey David, and his wife Genevieve, are selling their Sydney home.

The Hamptons style harbourside mansion at 23 Wentworth Road (pictured top and left) cost the pair $1.91 million in 1998.

It is expected to sell for about $12 million this time around. The home underwent a major renovation in 2015, but has hardly been lived in since, according to realestate.com.au, which first reported the listing.

Petbarn was founded by Mr David in 2004 on a Townsville site next door to a vet hospital he also owned. In 2013, Petbarn merged with Greencross Vets, which was founded by Glen Richards. Petbarn now trades from more than 50 stores nationally.

Alain Waitsman of LJ Hooker Double Bay will auction 23 Wentworth Road on November 27. On a 943 square metre site with water views, the three-storey home offers six bedrooms, a study, four car garage and direct access to Vaucluse Park. The block also includes a swimming pool and alfresco entertaining areas.
