Major New Zealand retailer Stoke Fireplace Studio has leased a Melbourne property as a base for its entry into the Australian market.

About six kilometres north-east of the CBD, 202 Grange Road, Fairfield, includes a 552 square metre building configured as a showroom and clear span warehouse, and a small customer car park.

Stoke Fireplace Studio is paying starting annual rent of $67,000 net after signing a four year lease agreement with options which could see it extend its stay until 2030.

The group has four outlets in New Zealand – in Auckland, Dunedin, Queenstown and Wellington.

The Melbourne deal was brokered by GrayJohnson’s Rory White with O & Co’s Patrick O’Callaghan.

Stoke Fireplace Studio was established in 2015 when three prominent fireplace businesses, ESCEA, Spartherm and Mode, joined together. It manufactures and imports its stock.
