NRL star Cooper Cronk lists Melbourne terrace after relocating to Sydney with fiance, Fox Sports presenter, Tara Rushton

NRL star Cooper Cronk – who recently relocated full-time to Sydney with his fiancé, Fox Sports presenter and journalist, Tara Rushton, has listed his outgoing Melbourne home for rent.

The 33-year old sportsman is seeking $850 per week for the Richmond townhouse (pictured, left) which he bought for $570,000 in 2006.

Cronk announced earlier this year that he would retire from the Melbourne Storm team at the end of this season and move to the New South Wales capital.

As such, the Brisbane born player, and Rushton, who was born in Perth but grew up on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, have been reweighting their property portfolio in recent weeks.

In September, Rushton offered a Sydney apartment in Kirribilli’s boutique Heatherlea complex for rent at $650 per week via McGrath Neutral Bay’s Bradley Fraser (Rushton bought the flat for $780,000 in 2014).

Also in September, Cronk listed for sale a Queensland investment property – a family home in Calamvale which he bought brand-new for $477,000, in 2007 (this home sold for $610,000 following a campaign by Harcourts Calamvale’s Hong Chua).

This Calamvale dwelling was the second property Cronk owned in Queensland – he retains a Mt Gravatt apartment which he bought off-the-plan last year.

The pair (pictured, top) plan to move into a four-bedroom, 102-year old Federation home in the ritzy suburb of Mosman, which they reportedly bought for $3.5 million earlier this month.

Cronk proposed to his fiancé over the Christmas period last year. It is unknown which team he will play for next year.

Rushton returned to Australia in 2013 after stints in Singapore and London to replace Mel McLaughlin at the Pay TV network.

The Richmond townhouse, at 39B Duke Street, is for lease via Woodards Jody Virgona. Over two levels, the dwelling includes two bedrooms, two living areas, a study and off-street car park. It offers skyline views of the Melbourne city about two kilometers away.

Postscript: this property is marked as “Application Pending” on October 31 – the day after Cronk announced the signing of a two year contract with the Sydney Roosters.
