Mullion, Toorak For Rent

Mullion, the distinctive Prairie-style stone and stucco home at 6 Stonehaven Court, designed by architect Walter Burley Griffith, has appeared online for rent at $1,695 per week, or just over $88,000 a year.

Mr Little paid about $2.6 million for the 81-year old, unrenovated home in May 2007, before undertaking a major restoration.

Mullion was previously occupied by late ophthalmologist Dr Michael Ryan, and is in the same street as former Collingwood captain Nathan Buckley. Jeffrey Wilson & Co’s Aidan Twomey is leasing the home.

It was reported after Mr Little purchased Mullion, he would tear down the back fence which divides that 930 square metre block, from his 1.1 hectare (or 11,000 square metre) Coonac estate on Clendon Road, thereby creating a unique guest house and second street frontage, at the centre of Toorak’s AAA-belt.

Coonac smashed the record price paid for a Melbourne home, selling for a reported $14.6 million in 2002. The 142-year old, seven bedroom mansion includes six bathrooms, a pool, tennis court and large established garden.

Mr Little also owns construction firm Little Project Developments.
