Marshall White Sets Residential Price Record

The Armadale-based agency is now likely to see out of the end of the year with the accolade for selling Melbourne’s most expensive home – the Stonington mansion in Malvern.

Marshall White director Sean Cussell sold the unrenovated Glenferrie Road property, once owned by Deakin University, to art dealer Rod Menzies for $18 million, against an anticipated sale price of $16 million.

Mr Cussell has since gone on to list for sale Menzies’ outgoing home in Hampden Street Armadale in a forthcoming campaign. The substantial Italianate mansion with tennis court and surrounded by an acre of established gardens, was formerly owned by Toll Holdings chairman Paul Little. An auction date is scheduled for next year.
