The development will include 12 apartments, four penthouses, and has a starting price of a staggering $1.6 million.
Birner, who runs development company BPG with son Daniel, said the apartment building at 57 Orrong Road will set a new benchmark for the suburb. The apartments include two bedrooms, study, formal and informal living areas, plus extensive balconies and garden courtyards. Each apartment has high three metre ceilings, double basement car parking and store rooms.
The project was designed by architect Amnon Webber of DCPM, while Andrew Parr of SJB designed the cutting edge interiors.
It is the second major residential development for Mr Birner. He was also behind the $13 million Chastone Gate development which was marketed last year.
