Lance Franklin spends c$9m on Gold Coast hinterland

Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin and his wife, Jesinta, have outlaid a speculated $9 million on a Mediterranean themed estate in the Gold Coast hinterland suburb of Reedy Creek.

The one year old Reece Keil home, Villa Casa, covers a 4497 square metre hilltop site offering 180 degree coastline views.

Two more bedrooms are in a self-contained dwelling.

There is also a magnesium pool with swim-up bar and podium, and alfresco terrace with built-in barbecue.

Jesinta was raised on the Gold Coast.

Reedy Creek is about 15 kilometres south of Surfers Paradise and 80km north of Byron Bay.

The Villa Casa purchase comes a week after the couple listed their Rose Bay, Sydney, apartment with $5-$5.5m price hopes.

They paid $5m off-the-plan in 2020.

On the ground floor of The Carlisle at 33-37 Carlisle St, it contains three bedrooms, a home cinema which could dub as a fourth, two car parks and a garden.

His listing comes two months since the footballer committed to the Sydney Swans for another year.

The pair moved to the city from Melbourne in 2014, after the sportsman signed a landmark $10m, nine year contract.
