Journey Beyond offers Eureka Skydeck

Melbourne’s Skydeck is for sale with a leaseback.

Journey Beyond has listed the 88th and 89th level of Southbank’s Eureka tower – including the Skydeck – with a leaseback.

The speculated c$55 million guide would set a record for the building in general terms – developer Elias Jreissati couldn’t offload his 620 square metre unit – the 82nd level – in 2014 and two years later; it was last listed in 2019 with a c$22m expectations.

Businessman Anthony Podesta offered his 86th floor suite for c$18m in July, 2017, the period considered the country’s last residential peak.

Earlier this week receivers announced another sky rise full floor unit, held by Grocon’s Daniel Grollo, would be sold – with c$16m the price hope.

“Journey Beyond will continue to occupy…on an initial 20-year lease with a commencing rental of approximately $3.3m and fixed annual rental increases” JLL marketing agents Josh Rutman, MingXuan Li, Michael Godfrey and Peter Harper said (story continues below).

The offering includes a small ground floor retail tenancy.

The offering, 88 and 89/7 Southbank Boulevard, contains the gold-plated Eureka Skydeck, accessed from a dedicated lift, and a restaurant.

It also includes a ground floor retail area.

Any incoming owner could subdivide the floors – each being accessible independently.

The tourism group also operates The Ghan from Adelaide and Outback Spirit Tours, at Albury.
