Infrastructure giant drops $19m for ex-Suez site

Charter Hall has quietly sold an ex-Suez waste plant after nearly 10 years.
The 1.9 hectare holding, 64-84 Waterview Close, Dandenong South, collected $18.6 million.
The buyer is Fulton Hogan Industries which plans to occupy.
The infrastructure giant operates out of two other properties in the suburb, 40 kilometres south-east of Melbourne’s CBD.
Charter Hall acquired the property from Suez Australia, then trading under the Sita brand, for $7.7m in December, 2016.
The on sale comes 10 months since realestatesource.com.au reported Centennial sold a vacant Waterview Close, Dandenong South, office/warehouse to a China-based investor for $20.88m.
That asset manager bought that property in 2022 with a short leaseback to flower supplier Apack for $19.88m (continues below).

The Dandenong South property contains a 2767 square metre improvement covering a small component of the block.
A two-level office is attached to a warehouse with a seven metre clearance used as a truck wash bay, workshop and spray booth.
The bulk of the site is hardstand, used for parking.
Zoned Commercial 2 it is near the South Gippsland Freeway, Dandenong Bypass and Pound Road, providing access to Eastlink and the Monash Freeway.
Fulton Hogan Industries, part of the Fulton Hogan Group, which operates across infrastructure, construction, transport and related industries in Australia and New Zealand, rents its office headquarters at the Botanicca business park in inner-east Richmond.
