Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan sells contemporary Clyde North home
Indian international cricketer Shikhar Dhawan (pictured, right) has sold his family home in Melbourne’s outer south-east.
The four-bedroom, 48 square dwelling at 6 Forest Drive, Clyde North, passed in at auction last Saturday for $911,000.
It changed hands shortly after, for $935,000, the top end of its campaign guide price.
Mr Dhawan lived at 6 Forest Drive with his Indian-born, Australian-raised wife, Aesha, and young family, for about three months of the year when he wasn’t on tour.
The pair paid $730,000 for the then ex-Porter Davis display home in 2015 – about three years after getting married.
Mr Dhawan wasn’t at last Saturday’s auction.
O’Brien’s Darren Hutchins and Peter Konidaris said more than 200 groups came through the Clyde North property during the marketing campaign.
Interestingly, the home achieved 65,000 hits on industry leading property portal realestate.com.au – well above the average of 83 visits per property.
Ms Dhawan told realestate.com.au in this item that following the Clyde North sale, the family plans to relocate to a house on more land.
“We’ve got three dogs. Otherwise we wouldn’t have thought about moving”, Ms Dhawan said.
