Hiap Hoe secures government to Stirling St
The Department of Communities has leased the bulk of a contemporary Perth office owned by Singapore listed Hiap Hoe.
The government will take 7910 square metres over three floors at 130 Stirling Street.
It presently occupies at East Perth and Fremantle’s Kings Square.
The CBD commitment is for 10 years with two options.
130 Stirling Street
Hiap Hoe paid Charter Hall $90m for 130 Stirling St in 2014; it was then five years old.
Over seven floors it contains 12,439 sqm of A-grade workspace (story continues below).
The site spreads 5100 sqm from Aberdeen to Pier streets.
Last year the landlord began a $5m refurbishment of vacant office areas.
Sheffield Property’s Digby Sutherland is the leasing agent.
He said the government should move in late this year.
It is the second major rental agreement signed recently by a state department – following the Primary Industry & Regional Development in December renting 7800 sqm at RF Corval’s 1 Nash St.
That occupier will now partially vacant a South Perth office.
