Groove Train founders arrive at Collins St

The team behind the Groove Train chain will open a high end bistro at the uber green 500 Collins Street, in the city’s western core.

Restaurateurs Rocky Veneziano and business partner John Cetiner have leased 303 square metres for the venture, Tom Collins.

About 1050 sqm of retail area has been rented at the property since the start of the year; other occupiers include chocolatier Cacao and Flight Centre.

CB Richard Ellis’ Max Cookes, who negotiated the leases, said there is very little fine dining in the precinct.

The 500 Collins St office was the country’s first refurbishment to achieve the Green Building Council five star Green Star rating.

It is owned by Kador Group.
