GO.FARM snares two farms to repurpose
The Costa Asset Managed GO.FARM, which earlier this year attracted the backing of Qantas Super, has snapped up two major farms.
In Narrandera, New South Wales, and Katunga in Victoria, the properties are costing a total c$150 million.
“We will unlock the full potential of these assets using technology and sustainable water management to deliver both strong financial returns and tangible benefits for regional communities,” GO.FARM founder and managing director, Liam Lenaghan, said.
The properties
In New South Wales, the Dellapool Aggregation, formerly a hazelnut farm, now with thousands of megalitres of water entitlements, the is earmarked for a high density olive grove plant (story continues below).
Nutella owner Ferrero offered it a year ago asking c$80m.
The Victorian farm – Sandmount North in the Murray Valley – spreads 1556ha.
GO.FARM intends to expand the property’s almond and tomato operations.
