Furniture retailer to move warehousing south

Green Link will contain up to 10 buildings.

Focus on Furniture will relocate its local distribution centre 10 kilometres away from the city – at Cranbourne West.

The retailer has signed a 12 year lease for part of a speculatively built warehouse within ESR Australia’s 79 hectare Green Link business park, which opened in 2022.

Warehouse 7A, 590-620 Western Port Highway, spreads 14,372 square metres with an above average 14.6 metre clearance.

It forms part of a 24,550 sqm office/warehouse on four hectares at the estate entry.

CBRE’s David Aiello and Sasan Misaghian were the agents.

The deal comes two years since ESR pre-committed CEVA Logistics to a Green Link building.

Cranbourne West is about 40 kilometres south of the CBD (story continues below).

Focus refocuses

Focus will relocate from Hallam this quarter.

“Consolidating its operations into one, state-of-the-art building stands to create increased efficiencies, generate significant cost savings, and support Focus on Furniture’s ongoing business growth nationally,” Mr Aiello said.

Simon Sayers, ESR Australia & New Zealand head of Development, added, “providing our site users with a range of environmental and wellness features that will enable them to thrive has been a focus for ESR from the outset, enabling us to attract premium customer such as Focus on Furniture”.

“With its ideal location, including 800m of…frontage to the Western Port Highway and direct access to major arterial roads, the site has continued to be an attractive destination for customers looking to grow their operations in Victoria,” according to the executive.
