Dustin Martin sells terrace after auction

Dustin Martin paid $993,000 for the modernised terrace in 2012.

Footballer Dustin Martin sold an Albert Park investment after auction on Saturday.

The three bedroom terrace, 43 Kerferd Road, is understood to have traded for $1.8 million – the upper end of the guide.

It passed in for $1.76m following two small genuine bids.

The buyer is a local downsizer, according to Nick Johnstone Real Estate marketing agent, Rachael Cavallaro.

Portfolio sale

Mr Martin paid $993,000 for 43 Kerferd Rd in May, 2012.

Already renovated, it was updated again before being offered for lease in late 2015 (story continues below).

It was last offered for rent publicly in mid-2017 asking $825 a week.

The investment was one of three recently listed by the footballer – the others, commercial properties co-owned with manager Ralph Carr in Abbotsford and Richmond, are expected to sell for a combined $9m.

It has been suggested for much of this season the footballer, 33, would see out his career with the Gold Coast Suns from next year.

Last month the sportsman and Mr Carr were also spotted in a meeting with Fox Footy executives – sparking rumours of a media role.
