Dexus signs lease deals with Dunlop, Coles and Secon, in Melbourne

Dexus has secured three major tenants at is Foundation industrial estate in Truganina, west of Melbourne.

Dunlop Flooring has leased a 9100 square metre property under construction at 380 Dohertys Road, which it will occupy as its headquarters and national distribution centre. This building will also contain a showroom.

Supermarket giant Coles meanwhile, will occupy a purpose-built and temperature-controlled warehouse at 12A Clearwater Place. The 7280 sqm complex will include 60 high-tech banana and avocado ripening rooms.

Logistics company Secon has also struck a lease deal with Dexus: it will occupy part of a 33,310 sqm complex at 47-53 Foundation Road (artist’s impression, top).

This commitment comes three years after Secon sold a 6.3 hectare property in Altona North, about 10 kilometres west of Melbourne, to residential developer Stockland for $48 million.

Dunlop Flooring, Coles and Secon will join brewer Carlton & United, Kathmandu, Toll, Simplot and Isuzu at Foundation.

Following these rental agreements, Dexus will have developed and lease about 380,000 sqm of industrial property at the estate.
