Developers buys farm for ‘rural homes’ estate
WT Malouf and Rebus Property have snapped up an 11 hectare piece of Southern Tablelands farm, Cleanskin, with plans for a 19-lot residential subdivision.
Zoned R2 Low Density, the estate at 2155 Sutton Road, Sutton (pictured, top), will make way for blocks between 5000-6127 square metres.
“Sutton was identified as an area that was yet to be overly developed and has the perfect mix of lifestyle amenity and connectivity to an employment hub being Canberra CBD,” WT Malouf director, Jack Joseph, said.
The vendor was Paul Keir, of the renowned horse breeding family, also the director of local transport company, Quickeze Towing.
“Locals will be very used to seeing our family ride to the Sutton Village, tie up our ponies to the pony club and have breakfast at the bakery on the weekends,” he said.
“I am happy the property will be developed into rural homes for other families to enjoy…it is a great place to live,” he added.
Mr Kier was represented by Ray White Yass’ Simon Southwell.
Belle Property’s Ryan Broadhurst will launch a campaign for the 19 lots next month.
Sutton, in New South Wales, is about 20 kilometres north east of Canberra’s CBD.
