Major Project Proposed for The Other Camberwell Junction

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, having received objections, will review the case for the proposed new development on December 16.  As well as apartments, the project may include a 100 seat restaurant, four shops and basement car parking.
 
Earlier this year, VCAT approved plans to redevelop part of another Camberwell dining institution, Sofia’s, with a seven-storey, 82-suite luxury hotel.
 
News of a Juliano’s redevelopment comes weeks after Sydney-based developer launched the major Aerial redevelopment, nearby.
 
FKP’s proposal for the former Henley Honda site include 144 dwellings in two glass buildings of between nine and 14 levels, with 1,400 square metres of ground floor retail and an office component. The ES & A building will be restored into an 80-seat restaurant.
