Chinese Association seeks childcare operator for new centre
The Chinese Association of Victoria is seeking an operator for a new childcare centre in Melbourne’s east.
The 107-place complex is set for 8 Ashley Street, Wantirna, part of the association’s language school (outlined, image, top.
It is also next to Knox Private Hospital and Eastern Health Wantirna.
CBRE’s Sandro Peluso, Marcello Caspani-Muto and Jimmy Tat are the agents.
The listing comes six months since realestatesource.com.au reported Bayside Early Learning leased a 94-place Mentone centre.
Also earlier this year, USA-based operator Guidepost Montessori committed to a 150-place facility in Doncaster East.
Last year meanwhile, an ex-Guardian at Taylors Lakes found a tenant two weeks after being listed.

The Chinese Association of Victoria has operated a school at the Wantirna site for decades; it has more than 500 students from kindergarten to Year 12 (continues below).
“This is a unique opportunity for an operator to establish a presence within a highly respected community precinct that already serves generations of local families,” Mr Tat said.
“The combination of a brand-new facility, premier healthcare neighbours and the adjoining Chinese Language School creates a compelling foundation for immediate and long-term enrolment growth,” according to the executive.
Mr Peluso added new centres within high-traffic community hubs is rare.
“The proximity to major healthcare employment hubs, residential growth corridors and established educational facilities creates an exceptional platform for a quality, experienced operator,” he said.
Chinese Association of Victoria spokesperson added the project would complement a broader community mission.
“We look forward to partnering with an operator who shares our deep commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education and care,” they said.
Wantirna is 24 kilometres from the CBD.
