Celebrities Oppose Development of Third School Around Their Streets

Regent Street is near the much larger Caulfield Grammar School, and a smaller school – the Sholem Aleichem College, in Sandham Street. The number of cars swells as students are dropped off and picked up.

Mr McKenna said it was unreasonable for the new school to have (a proposed) nine car parks for parents of more than 300 students.

“We are supportive of the school. Our concern is purely about parking and traffic control,” he said.

The proposed Yesodei Ha Torah College would replace a low-density aged care and foster facility.

Real estate agency Buxton marketed the Regent Lodge site with a permit for ten townhouses.
