BlueCross lists surplus Scotchmans Creek site

The site (marked) is adjacent to BlueCross’s Scotchmans Creek aged care facility, about 16 kilometres south east of Melbourne.

Aged care accommodation provider BlueCross has listed a creek-side Mount Waverley site adjacent to a facility.

The 9642 square metre parcel is expected to sell for more than $5 million and make way for townhouses or a social infrastructure development like a childcare centre.

The vendor’s executive general manager, business development, Property and Infrastructure, Alan Johncock, said the holding, 454 Waverley Road, is surplus to its requirements.

It was in 2017 seeking to replace the General Residential zoned plot with a three level, 107-bed aged care facility (story continues below).

The property is about 800 metres to Pinewood Village.

CBRE selling agents Nathan Mufale, David Minty, Marcello Caspani-Muto and Jimmy Tat said the parcel is within the Mount Waverley Secondary College catchment, and near Wesley College and the recently refurbished The Glen Shopping Centre.

Mount Waverley is about 16 kilometres south east of Melbourne.
