Salta tops out $500m BTR project
Salta has topped out its $500 million build-to-rent project, Riverline, in Melbourne’s inner-east.
Upon completion in about a year, 25 River Boulevard, beside the Yarra River, in Richmond, will contain 476 dwellings in six buildings around a plaza.
It will be the second project for the developer’s dedicated rental platform, Est.
The other, with 94 dwellings, opened in October, 2024, at 249 Queens Parade, Fitzroy North.

Riverline is also designed with wellness and fitness facilities, co-work spaces, a cinema, private dining rooms, a residents’ lounge and rooftop dining.
There is a 25-metre outdoor pool too.
The project is part of the wider Victoria Gardens precinct, about three kilometres from the city, near the eponymous shopping centre (continues below).
Salta broke ground in June, 2025.
Completion is scheduled in the third quarter of next year.
The asset’s end-value will circle $500m.
Salta managing director Sam Tarascio Junior said the property will add much-needed supply to the city.
The executive also called for a review of Victoria’s foreign purchaser additional duty, arguing changes could accelerate investment in further projects.
“With the right tax settings, in particular a review of Victoria’s onerous Foreign Purchaser Additional Duty, we can unlock much needed investment to deliver more projects like Riverline, sooner,” he added.
