Ballet Theatre of Queensland to shift HQ

The Windorah Street property is being fit-out for the dance company.

Ballet Theatre of Queensland – Australia’s oldest dance company – will relocate its headquarters within Stafford.

The not for profit will pay starting annual rent of $265,000 for the two level, 1082 square metre office/showroom at 12a Windorah Street.

Also with 21 car parks – 19 in a basement – the initial agreement is for five years with an option.

The space was until recently occupied by SAFA Lounges.

Ballet Theatre of Queensland on the move

Established 88 years ago, Ballet Theatre of Queensland could only commit to 12a Windora St after a Brisbane City Council rezone for specialist use.

Raine & Horne Commercial’s Trent Bruce and Dave Miller managed the leasing campaign.

Church groups and formal retail groups also looked in, they said.

A fit-out is now being undertaken.

The tenant will relocate from 57 Hayward St.

Stafford is about a 10 kilometre drive north of town.
