Alan Bond’s former Dalkeith mansion sells for $39m

The former home of controversial Perth businessman Alan Bond has sold for $39 million.

The Dalkeith property (pictured) is the second most expensive residential deal to take place in that city following resources director Chris Ellison paying $57m in 2009 for the Mosman Park estate of mining heiress Angela Bennett.

Mr Ellison’s colleague, Steve Wyatt, founding shareholder in mining services group Mineral Resources, is buying Mr Bond’s former home seven bedroom home across six titles.

It was offered by former gold miner Barry Patterson, according to the AFR.

The Bond family trust sold it in 1993.
